Nashville, TN - March 1, 2011 - Holly Starr's sophomore project, Tapestry, releases to retail today, March 1st, with Save The City Records/Provident-Integrity Distribution. Tapestry, which initially hit the digital marketplace October 19th of last year, reached No. 11 on the iTunes Christian/Gospel Charts and has already garnered coverage in major outlets such as Gospel Music Channel, Plugged In, JesusFreakHideout, Soul-Audio, Breathecast, AlphaOmegaNews and CCM Magazine. Starr will also appear in an upcoming issue of Susie Magazine.
Never one to sit still, Starr is currently promoting Tapestry around the nation. Along with her continuously busy touring schedule booked through the coming months, she just completed a west coast radio tour stopping by and playing for stations such as KLOVE/Air1, The FISH/Sacramento, KSGN in Riverside, CA and Las Vegas' SOS Radio. During this tour she also performed at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa.
Holly Starr was also recently selected for a Heart of The Artist feature in Interlinc's Spring Youth Leader Only Box, getting her music in the hands of over 15,000 youth pastors. Starr is going to be featured on Family Christian Bookstores' new release wall starting March 11th through the summer, and she is also set to also be featured in Lifeway's Spring/Mother's Day promotion.
Tapestry's first CHR hit was "Undertow" and the current single at AC and INSP is "Psalm 23." "Holding Onto You" is Tapestry's second CHR single adding at radio this week.
ABOUT HOLLY STARR:
Growing up on a farm in Washington state, Holly Starr learned about hard work and long hours, and she continues to prefer this method in her music ministry over the spotlight. At just 19 years old, she has become an established songwriter, has shared the stage with country superstar LeAnn Rimes, and has performed at numerous major festivals and churches across the nation where she continues to build her solid fanbase.
Tapestry is Holly Starr's sophomore release and was produced by Dove Award-winning Rusty Varenkamp (Tenth Avenue North, Meredith Andrews). Save The City Records is also home to artists such as Circleslide, Byron "Mr. Talkbox" Chambers, Benjiman, and Brandon Bee. Bee produced Embraced, Starr's first full-length project.
