NASHVILLE, TN - Indie rock act Sons of God just announced multiple changes to the band. This information will be sent to select members of the press and will be made public via a social media update on Tuesday, June 21st at 9pm CST.
Lead singer Aaron Newberry will release a video (seen below) detailing these keys points. First, they changed the band name to "SONS." Promotional materials will soon reflect this change. In addition to this image alteration, Newberry introduces drummer Michael Lopez and a new promo photograph. He also updates fans on the status of the previous Kickstarter campaign, ensuring the rewards will be sent as soon as possible.
Newberry also confirms the status of the band's upcoming record, stating that the full length will be available later this year. No tours are currently scheduled, but will be as soon as SONS is in a position to do so.
ABOUT SONS:
Playing with a poetic message and delivering it with power, SONS creates masterful sounds filled with highs and lows – polarizing swings that mirror the beauty of life’s struggle and redemption. Led by multi-talented Aaron Newberry, SONS spent the last four years manufacturing a gracious grassroots following on an empty budget. Their explosive The Genesis Prologue EP surpassed 10,000 downloads, and their debut album, due out later this year, was funded completely by pre-orders. Over 7,000 dollars raised purely on anticipation. For more information and to stay updated on the new record, log on to facebook.com/wearesonsofgod.
