VIDIMIX SHOW

As the DJ for TobyMac’s Diverse City Band, a solo artist and producer for countless artists past and present, Mike “Maj” Allen has had a positive global impact. Many have become fans via these avenues and Maj keeps striving to serve the masses through family-friendly brands. With recent innovative technological advances, Maj has taken on the unique position as producer of The VidiMix Show - a multi-genre music video show featuring seamless blends of back-to-back music videos.   "When I first experienced this concept in the DJ community, I thought of its potential ability to assist the brands we love as well.  So we began testing the concept  on live audieces and it translated very well.   The "for-TV production is similar yet involves hosts and  features hits from various eras and genres.  John Reuben's Jamboree VidiMixed with Brandon Heath's Give Me Your Eyes or  Israel Houghton's I Just Wann Say VidiMixed with Family Force 5's Kountry Gentlemen.   You simply have to see the final product to believe it!!  Maj continues, "What's really exciting is The VidiMix Show's reflection of  the relationships developed throughout my personal journey.  It's like, I look up one day and ‘BAM!’ I’m a DJ on the DOVE™ Awards. Then there are conversations on tours with people like Mac Powell of Third Day, Israel Houghton, Lecrae, Brandon Heath and FireFlight that further stirred my curiosity about a creative way to program multi-genre content.  So the VidiMix Show just came naturally. Plus I think it makes sense for how this eclectic generation desires to experience music.”

The Tool:

  • Provide multi-genre music video programming for all ages.
  • Provide networks with a creative way to incorporate music video content throughout their programming without committing large amounts of airtime.
  • Introduce viewing audiences to extended music-based “intermissions” between featured programming.
  • Provide television networks with content that expands their market reach to different demographics
  • Introduce consumers to emerging lifestyle brands and resources.
Currently, The VidiMix Show is hosted by Carley “Cali” Zollars (California) and Stacey West (Michigan). Future episodes will include guest-appearances from a wide variety of entertainers.

While the majority of future episodes are reserved for network viewers, the general public can view a few final episodes starting August 1, 2011 by visiting www.youtube.com/vidimixshow.  Viewers can also subscribe to new episode notifications for free.  Maj says, “It’s simple.  We want our community to be a part of this journey and experience. Community is what it takes to move from the foundation of online presence into the platform of network television.”

FEEDBACK

"The VidiMix Show is a new, unique way for people to experience music videos.  Its multi-genre content and creative platform has great potential to expose these videos to a wide audience."

Rebecca Wolford - Aristo Media

"After viewing just a handful of the Vidimix Show samplers, I am totally impressed.  This concept has been gaining popularity and use in venues across the country - it's great to see someone take this into the Christian music field.  I love how some old school are incorporated in with new from time to time, too."

-Dave Lenehan, Conference Director - Youth for Christ, Albany, NY

The “Vidimix  Show” idea is sooo relevant to our youth today!  Being a former DJ back in the day, I love It!!  With Vidimix this generation of youth can enjoy amazing fresh content.  Way to go guys!

-Chris Crockett, Multi Area Director - Fellowship of Christian Athletes

"Visual party, with all the flavor of past, but pressing forward to the future.   It's unique, its exciting, and audiences are gonna love the nonstop musical feast being served up on the VidiMix Show..."
