(NASHVILLE, Tennessee) -- Unlike many recording artists, Yancy has never been accused of releasing projects that begin to sound the same. That's because with over a decade under her belt, Christian music's most diverse artist has managed to successfully record and release projects for the family - the entire family. On January 10th, Yancy returns with Little Praise Party: Happy Day Everyday (Elevate Entertainment), a CD and companion DVD designed specifically for preschool age kids.
The latest in her Little Praise Party series, Little Praise Party: Happy Day Everyday provides sing-along fun and worship for the youngest generation as well as Mom's and Dad's, with a companion DVD of animated videos for each song.
"A few years ago a Bible verse popped out at me and has become my verse for leading kids in worship," says Yancy. "It's Psalm 8:1&2. 'God, brilliant Lord, yours is a household name. Nursing infants gurgle choruses about you; toddlers shout the songs that drown out enemy talk, and silence atheist babble.' (MSG) That means that when a two year-old sings 'Everybody praise the Lord,' miracles happen. When a four year old shouts 'Jesus loves me,' the words they sing are taking root in their life and their spiritual development. I love this collection of songs because it helps moms, dads, sisters, brothers and the youngest of tikes celebrate and sing about Jesus in their life."
For more than a decade, Yancy has released radio friendly pop/rock albums and multiple projects for kids and young adults, all while sharing the stage with such artists as Mute Math, Newsboys, 4Him and Nichole Nordeman. As a writer, Yancy has teamed up with Third Day's Mac Powell, wrote Avalon's #1 hit "I Don't Want To Go" and Jaci Velasquez's "Something Beautiful," and still found the time to compose two devotional books for worship leaders and musicians and a devotional book for pre-teens. In 2011, Yancy teamed up with Standard Publishing for an exclusive partnership to write and produce content for Standard Publishing's 2012 Vacation Bible School.
