INDIANAPOLIS, IN - January 26, 2012 -Slospeak Records just announced Pioneer's slot on The Epic Tour, headlined by pop/rock act Manic Drive. The tour will hit 15 cities in the Mid West to South East regions, starting January 27th and running until February 24th. In addition, their first radio single, "Treason," is currently at #9 on the BDS Rock Charts.

Pioneer embarked on a similar tour with Manic Drive last year. "After narrowing down a long list of candidates, we were chosen for the 2 month tour," drummer Dan Voris recalls. "Things went really well and they asked us to come back out with them this year. We are super excited about it and are honored that they asked us back out."

Their self-titled full length released Tuesday and is already making a lasting impression. Here's what the press is saying:

JesusFreakHideout.com: "Right now, I'm willing to state that Pioneer is the best new artist of 2012 thus far...Pioneer has left us with one of the best pop rock albums I have heard in a long time."

Christian Music Zine: "Pioneer has a sound that can easily be compared to pop rock bands with a pop punk background...,but make the music their own as they've created an album well worthy of a listen and a purchase for any fan of the genre."

ABOUT PIONEER: Pioneer is the story of five Midwest boys who love music. What they thought would only be a summer musical fling developed into tours during spring and winter breaks. Three years later and Pioneer (formerly known as News from Verona) touts national tours with bands like Manic Drive and festivals including Ichthus, Cornerstone and Spirit West coast. Their latest record dropped January 24, 2012. Pioneer is: Josh Randolph (vocals, keys), Chad Shirrell (guitar, vocals), Dalton Meyers (guitar), Daniel Voris (drums) and Nick Berry (bass).
