Arlington, VA – Intensity Music Fest is a Christian based annual Radio and Press Showcase taking place on August 4th 2013, in the heart of the greater Washington, DC area. The first annual Festival will be benefiting numerous Charities and Non-Profit Organizations, including SYKE, a Virginia based non-profit that fights for a smoke free music scene.
Intensity Music Fest is an Artist Showcase highlighting some of the top Christian Post-Hardcore and Metal Bands in music today. The showcase allows bands to play not only in front of fans, but in front of extended radio and press that have gathered from across the region. In a day in age where artists have to work harder than ever to get their music out, Intensity is working to become a platform for artists to receive the exposure and recognition they deserve. The underground music scene produces some of the most hard working and talented artists in music today, yet with Top 40 continuing to control radio, many of these bands find themselves struggling to survive. Intensity is here to help change that, starting with our Nation's Capital. Intensity believes that the underground scene is a music scene desperate for Him. Intensity aims to be an outreach to that demographic. By putting on an event that is more packed with a purpose than any other event to date, all backed with a stellar crossover lineup that has several acts making rare Christian event appearances. Lives can be changed through a scene that has been filled with darkness for so long. Intensity hopes to be a light to so many non-believers and believers that are looking for God in the midst of struggles.
THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA is set to headline the Main Stage, with support coming from fifteen other bands, including a rare Festival appearance by DEMON HUNTER. Other supporting bands include Gold-Selling Band THE RED JUMPSUIT APPARATUS, THE WORD ALIVE, hometown band I THE BREATHER, BEING AS AN OCEAN, HUNDREDTH, WAR OF AGES, FIT FOR A KING, WOLVES AT THE GATE, THE GREAT COMMISSION, hometown group CONDITIONS, BECOMING THE ARCHETYPE, and SERIANNA. In addition, MAYLENE & THE SONS OF DISASTER and JAMIE’S ELSEWHERE will be making rare appearances at the Showcase. Intensity Music Fest desires to not only provide bands with optimal exposure, but the Festival looks to achieve this all while providing fans with the ultimate experience. One way the Event looks to achieve this is through their format. The Showcase will be set up in an alternating main stage layout. Meaning, Festival attendees won't have to miss a single band, while the length of set changes will be minimized, maximizing set lengths for all of the bands. Intensity Music Fest also spotlights their top of the line VIP package that allows fans to connect with the artists more than ever before. The Festival has also confirmed that there will be several additional sources of entertainment available, including a complimentary Skatepark.
