Extol has released a lyric video for the song "Betrayal" from their self titled album released this past summer. Vocalist Peter Espevoll talks about the meaning behind the song: "It was one o'clock at night and I didn't have any lyrics for [Betrayal], I sat down in a chair and just closed my eyes. I see this image of a small girl that we met in Kenya at a garbage dump searching for scraps of food. I knew that I wanted to write a song about this."
Peter and Extol have released a special edition shirt design to benefit the cause as well. "When I wrote the lyrics for Betrayal I knew I wanted to try to join the worlds of Extol and the ministry we have with New Life Mission Aid, the organisation where I work. One of our main projects is giving orphans and homeless kids in Kenya a hope for the future. My idea was to make a sweet t-shirt that we could sell to Extol fans all over the world and give away all the profits. In that way we could all stand togther in helping these kids in Kenya."
When you purchase this shirt, every dollar goes right back to New Life Mission Aid. If you're interested in making a larger donation you can do that at Extol's website.
