(August 14th, 2014-Nashville, TN) Curb recording artist Natalie Grant's extraordinary summer just got even more exciting as the incomparable talent garnered four Dove Awards for songs from her #1 album "HURRICANE" in the 45th Annual Dove Awards nominations held today. The cd title track and single Hurricane earned triple nominations in the Song of the Year, Contemporary Christian Performance of the Year and Pop/Contemporary Song of the Year categories; I Love the Lord, also from the "HURRICANE" album, received a nomination for Gospel Performance of the Year. In addition, Natalie's husband, and "HURRICANE" producer, Bernie Herms is a nominee for Producer of the Year.
Grant was part of the nominating lineup of stars at this year's nomination ceremony held at Nashville's Allen Arena at Lipscomb University. The Dove Awards will be held October 7th at Lipscomb University. TBN will broadcast the event around the world on October 27th.
Persecuted, released July 18th, was produced by multiple Oscar®-winner Gray Frederickson (The Godfather Trilogy, Apocalypse Now) and writer/director Daniel Lusko, and is a faith-based action-thriller in which the award-winning singer/songwriter has a featured role. And, Grant recently made a special guest appearance on the season finale of GSN's The American Bible Challenge, hosted by comedian and author Jeff Foxworthy.
Meanwhile, It Takes A Church - the matchmaking series hosted by Grant scored big summer ratings and is expected to return for another season. The popular series sees Christian congregations across the country play matchmaker to help an unattached fellow parishioner find their partner.
An inspired performer known for making lasting connections with her audience, Grant has an array of concert dates and live appearances slated through the fall and beyond. For complete tour details and ticket information, please log on to www.facebook.com/nataliegrantmusic/events.
