We are huge fans of TobyMac and my husband saw this as a really cool opportunity to do a half-marathon and meet Toby! What we found out was that the cause we raised money for was so worth it. Our visit to New Hope Academy was so very meaningful. We can still remember the worship time as the kids sang Casting Crowns' "Until the Whole World Hears" and just having goose bumps that God was doing amazing things in the lives of these kids at this wonderful school. The entire event was first class from meeting Toby and his family, to the pasta party & concert to the post-race party.

I hate to run, it hurts everywhere, running is something I will never do. These were words I often muttered ... never say never when it comes to the Lord's plans for your life!! As I was turning 40, The Lord called on me, AND my husband, AND my two children, to train, join Team TobyMac, fundraise for New Hope Academy, and run in the Country Music Marathon. And now we are a running family ... looking for every opportunity to 'run for a cause' and share the love of Christ in our neighborhood, on a track, at a park, and on the race course. So, put on those running shoes and start running the race He has set before you!"
