1 March 2021 - Nashville, TN - Soulful singer-songwriter Andrew Ripp landed his first No. 1 single with his song “Jericho” at Billboard’s Christian Airplay, Christian AC Monitored, and Christian AC Indicator. The song has also reached the top spot on the Mediabase Christian Audience chart as well as the Christian AC Monitored Chart. The powerful anthem continues to deeply connect with audiences around the world.
“It’s wild how a two-year process of letting go of my dreams made room for new ones," Andrew Ripp shares. "In 2016 I intentionally stepped away from music for a while...maybe forever. I needed to find out who Andrew Ripp was without his guitar. This dream I find myself living in today is not the result of trying harder, but rather letting go completely. I’m having a blast and couldn’t be more grateful.”
“'Jericho' found an immediate connection with listeners,” says Andrea Kleid, President of Boxer Poet. "We are so thankful to our radio partners for embracing Andrew and 'Jericho.' One of my favorite parts of this story is that we accomplished this No. 1 as a completely independent team while also being cheered on by our label colleagues for being able to go this far. I cannot say enough thank you's to radio and this promotion team: AJ Strout, Chris Hauser and Sarah Anderson.”
“Jericho” was produced by Ethan Hulse and mixed and mastered by James Joseph. Ripp’s new album Evergreen is coming soon, following his 2018 release of The Heart & The Soul.
Additionally, he is currently featured on KLOVE.com for their 21 Questions feature. Named one of the network's "Emerging Artists on the Rise," Ripp also shares a stunning acoustic version of "Jericho."
Ripp will be joining NEEDTOBREATHE for three sold out shows at The Caverns in Pelham, Tennessee March 12th-14th, and is looking forward to getting back on the road in the fall.
