Nashville, TN (April 29, 2021) – RCA Inspiration, one of the premiere labels in Gospel and inspirational music, celebrates seven nominations across the Gospel categories for the upcoming 2021 Billboard Music Awards. Celebrating their success on the charts over the past year, the finalists include Kirk Franklin (Fo Yo Soul/RCA), Marvin Sapp, Koryn Hawthorne, Kierra Sheard (Karew Entertainment/RCA Inspiration), and Mali Music (K Approved Enterprises/RCA Inspiration). Kirk Franklin and Koryn Hawthorne are finalists in the category of Top Gospel Artist. In the category of Top Gospel Album, the finalists are: Koryn Hawthorne for I AM and Kierra Sheard for KIERRA. In the category of Top Gospel Song, the finalists are: Koryn Hawthorne “Speak To Me,” Jonathan McReynolds & Mali Music’s duet “Movin’ On” (RCA Inspiration/eOne), and Marvin Sapp “Thank You For It All.” Separately, Kirk Franklin is a finalist in Top Christian Song as a featured performer on the For King & Country song “Together” ft. Kirk Franklin & Tori Kelly. Finalists and winners are selected via key fan music interactions, including album and digital song digital sales, streaming, radio airplay, and social engagement tracked by Billboard and its data partners, from the chart period spanning March 21, 2020 to April 3, 2021.
