NASHVILLE, TENN. (MAY 07, 2021) Today singer/songwriter Ellie Holcomb debuts a new song, "I Don't Want To Miss It," from her upcoming album, Canyon, which will release on June 25th. This song will also be the debut radio single from the forthcoming project. Check out this celebratory song here co-written by Holcomb, Cason Cooley and Thad Cockrell here. Today she will debut the music video at 1 PM Central on YouTube where she will also be doing a live chat. "In the midst of visiting some of the deepest places of pain in my own story and in the story of our country, I encountered the kindness and empathy of God in a palpable way,” shares Ellie Holcomb about this new song. "When you taste something that sweet, the beauty of being broken AND beloved, you don’t ever want to miss out on that sweetness again. For me, I feel hungry for more and more of the goodness of God for both myself and the world around me. I hope this song feels like an invitation to breath in the love of God through every broken crack of your story. This song is a prayer, asking God to help me tune into the melody He sings over me and over every image-bearing soul on the face of the earth. I don’t want to miss out on the beauty of that for myself or for anyone else. I guess you could say this song is me asking God to turn up the volume of the song of Love He sings over every one of us."

With her upcoming project, Canyon, Holcomb teamed with with an incredibly talented team of co-writers such as Natalie Hemby, Bear Rinehart of NEEDTOBREATHE and Thad Cockrell, and the project was produced by Cason Cooley along with executive producer and her dad, Brown Bannister.

"Canyon is a record about a deeper sorrow and a higher hope," shares Ellie Holcomb. "A tornado tore through our neighborhood, Covid-19 shut down our country and canceled all of our touring, racial tension was high in the wake of George Floyd’s death, Christmas morning began with a bomb that went off in downtown Nashville, the capitol was attacked, and we have had so many family friends lose people they love to the virus. In many ways, writing and singing these songs felt like finding my way through a serious season of suffering and sorrow."

Since her solo debut in 2014, Holcomb has garnered two GMA Dove Awards, including New Artist of the Year, became a best-selling children's author along with accompanying EPs, has more than 157 million global streams and most recently performed and interviewed on The TODAY Show with Amy Grant for the special FAITHFUL Project. She and her husband Drew Holcomb have also partnered with Tennessee Tourism for a campaign where they've also released two songs earlier this year. Last year, the Holcombs invited their fans into their home virtually nightly for their now-famed Kitchen Covers during the height of the pandemic.

About Ellie Holcomb: "A deeper sorrow, a higher hope; to be broken is to be human," Ellie Holcomb says to sum up the content of her latest album, Canyon, the third full-length solo project from the singer-songwriter. For eight years, she recorded and toured full-time with her husband's band, Drew Holcomb and The Neighbors, before stepping off the road when her first child was born. Her solo debut, As Sure As The Sun (2014), landed her a Top 10 hit at Christian radio with "The Broken Beautiful" and a GMA Dove Award for "New Artist of the Year." Her critically-acclaimed sophomore LP, Red Sea Road, followed in 2017. In subsequent years, Holcomb has released two children's books - each with a companion EP of original music written specifically for kids, the second of which earned her a Dove Award for "Children's Album of the Year," in 2020.
