For Immediate Release (Bon Aqua, TN) — Lifest Music City has announced that Thomas Gabriel, the eldest grandson of Johnny Cash, will be performing during the July 29-31 music festival to be held at the former property owned by Johnny Cash, Hideaway Farm in Bon Aqua, Tennessee.

"Celebrating God with voice, music, and fellowship, surrounded by His spirit through fellow Christians and artists is in itself exciting,” says Gabriel. “But having all of these elements specifically on a farm I grew up on, a place that for me has always been a peaceful sanctuary, is very significant."

Johnny took ownership of the property in the early 1970s, after finding out that his accountant had been embezzling his money and buying properties. Johnny immediately fell in love with the 107-acre farm and spent 30 years in the house and on the land that he called “the center of my universe.”

Restoration of the property began in 2015, adding smooth walkways, convenient parking, and public facilities, establishing the Storytellers Museum and Hideaway Farm as a tourist destination. Visitors can now explore displays in the Farmhouse and learn stories of the private side of Johnny Cash. The Car Shed, which normally includes the incredible One-Piece-At-A-Time car – which is based on Johnny’s 1976 #1 hit song – as well as the lavish Johnny Paycheck Cadillac, will be used for the Nashville’s Big Back Yard music venue during the festival.

The Lifest Music City event is attracting music fans from all over the country as well as Canada. People from over 23 states have purchased tickets to the family-friendly where camping will be available for the duration of the festival, as well as food vendors, marketplace shops, and activities for children. From now until July 28, tickets for the 3-day event are on sale for $72 for adults, $36 for ages 8 to 15. Single day tickets are also available at $32 for adults, $16 for ages 8-15.
