FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — HeartSupport is joining forces with bands like Love & Death, Lacey Sturm, We Came As Romans, August Burns Red and Memphis May Fire for one massive, hope-filled livestream for World Suicide Prevention Day on September 10. The livestream will take place on Twitch at 5:00 PM Eastern, and you can RSVP to the event at https://fb.me/e/2pSKYXc2M. “We are so excited to announce our #chooselife livestream event!” the event organizers shared. “To spread awareness and honor world suicide prevention month we are hosting a Twitch Stream on September 10, featuring interviews and performances from some of your favorite performers!” Additional talent involved includes Islander, The Protest, Relent, Clayton Jennings and The Whosoevers. The event will cap off the viral #chooselife campaign, which has been taking over social media with artists and fans sharing their own reasons why they choose life, even through the pain of depression or suicidal thoughts. “I #chooselife because on the day I planned to end my life I met God,” legendary rock vocalist Lacey Sturm shared. “In that moment I understood that the same God who created the cosmos created me and you. We are not accidents. We are not burdens. We are not mistakes. We are intentionally created for an eternal purpose— to know Love.” Brian “Head” Welch (of Korn and Love & Death) has a similar personal story to share, saying “I #chooselife because life is a gift and suffering isn’t permanent. I’ve always seen something good come after going through dark periods in my life and I believe the best is yet to come. Keep pressing on.” Those are the kinds of hope-infused stories that fans can expect from the Choose Life livestream. The campaign stemmed from the recently released music video for “Let Me Love You,” a gritty and grace-soaked collaboration between Love & Death and Lacey Sturm. For more information, fans can RSVP to the Facebook event, or follow HeartSupport on Facebook and Instagram.
