Los Angeles, CA (September 21th, 2022) — Pop artist Landry Cantrell releases his newest song “What He Didn’t Do“ today via all digital service providers on DREAM Records. The ballad showcases Cantrell’s vocal abilities with beautiful melodies mixed with a powerful message. Jonathan Gamble, who co-wrote with Cantrell on his last track “Source”, worked with Cantrell on “What He Didn’t Do.”

“These past few years, we have gone through a lot as a people. We’ve experienced a lot of loss… more than I’ve ever seen before in my life. Romans 8:28 says “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Growing up I always thought that verse meant I was going to live an easy life without any heartaches, but as I got older there were things I went through that I couldn’t seem to find the good in. If we continue to read in verse 29 it says, “For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son…” To be conformed to the image of his Son. Jesus. Jesus was forsaken, betrayed and abandoned. He endured mental and physical suffering beyond what I could ever begin to imagine. If everything that we go through in our life, the good the bad and the in-between is shaping us to be more like Jesus, then I believe that is good. If you can’t seem to find the good in what you are walking through, I want to remind you that God is still good, and that He is not defined by our circumstances” - Landry Cantrell

ABOUT LANDRY CANTRELL:

Growing up around a recording studio and the church choir, music has always been a huge part of Landry Cantrell's life. He began writing and producing music as a kid with some of his dad’s old studio gear. As a teenager, he became more serious about his music, and after high school he earned a Master’s Certificate in Music Technology and Production from Berklee College of Music. He signed to Dream Records in 2017, releasing two Billboard top 20 singles “Before You” and “Gravity” shortly after. He followed up his Dream records debut with the album “Glasshouse” in 2020. In September of that same year, Landry and his wife, Kelsey, welcomed their son, Cohen, into the world. Taking some time to focus on his family, Landry stepped away from releasing music for a few years. During his time away he never slowed down writing and creating. Now with the upcoming release of his first single in over two years, Landry is excited to finally share some new music with the world. “I have lived a lot of life since “Glasshouse”. It’s my hope that people will be able to relate to the things that I have experienced, and find hope in seeing God’s hand through it all.”
