NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 27, 2023) – Christian singer/songwriter Katie Arrington’s new single, “My God, My God,” is set to release to Inspirational-formatted radio outlets today. A video is available on YouTube.
“This song is based on the Psalm that Jesus quoted on the cross,” Arrington shares. “The first line, ‘My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?’ reminds us that even Christ felt despair and called out to God during times of struggle.”
“My God, My God” follows Arrington’s previous radio single, “Blessed Is the One,” which debuted at No. 2 at CRC Weekly and hit the No. 4 spot on CRC Monthly.
The song, written by the artist, was produced by Bob McCutcheon at Vault Recording Studio.
Arrington, who has been writing songs on the guitar since she was a preteen, leads worship at The Open Door in Pittsburgh, Penn., where she lives with her family.
