NASHVILLE, TENN. (JUNE 07, 2023) Gotee Records' Cochren & Co. has received their first No. 1 radio single on the Billboard Christian Airplay chart with the song, "Running Home." This energetic song was co-written by Michael Cochren, 2022 NSAI Songwriter of the Year Matthew West, and Dove Award-winning producer Jeff Pardo, and is the title track to the sophomore album that was released earlier this year. Cochren & Co.'s Michael Cochren shared exclusively with Billboard about this career milestone, "I wanted this song to feel like a big nostalgic roll-the-windows-down anthem, and when we recorded it we didn’t hold anything back. I’m truly blown away by the love and support around 'Running Home' and I’m so grateful to receive my first No. 1 radio single with a message and sound that's so genuine to who I am."
In addition to this No. 1 song, Cochren & Co. will make their Opry debut next week on June 13th. This also marks the first Gotee artist to step onto the iconic stage for an Opry debut. ABOUT COCHREN & CO. - Michael Cochren is a singer/songwriter and worship leader born and raised in a small Indiana town. After graduating from school, Cochren began playing music across the country with a band of friends, including his wife Leah, under the name Cochren & Co. (pronounced Cochren and Company). With hope-filled lyrics and timeless melodies, Cochren & Co. blurs the line between American pop/rock and soul/blues to create a classic sound all their own. Dove Award Nominated Cochren & Co. have toured coast to coast amassing a loyal following of new listeners wherever they go.
Nominated for a GMA Dove Award for New Artist of the Year, their debut full-length album Don’t Lose Hope was released on Gotee Records in 2021. The debut included Billboard Top 10 Radio Hits “Church (Take Me Back)”, “One Day”, and “Who Can." The title track “Don’t Lose Hope” was featured in an episode of CBS’s MacGyver reboot.
Cochren & Co.’s sophomore project, Running Home (2023), features the group's first No. 1 radio single with the title track as well as the 2022 Top 15 Billboard Christian Airplay & AC radio single, “Thank God For Sunday Morning,” which was listed as one of K-LOVE’s 22 Songs that Defined 2022. Cochren & Co. has been featured in various performances including GRAMMY.com's Positive Vibes Only and K-LOVE On Demand's " The Barn Series ." Touring for Cochren & Co. has included the TobyMac Hits Deep Tour (multiple years), The TobyMac Drive-In Theatre Tour, and festivals around the country.
