FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — 3 Days Under is unflinchingly exploring the consequences of temptation on their sobering new rock track, “Fruit of the Flesh.” Released with Resurrection Records, the song is available on all major platforms at https://lnk.to/FruitoftheFlesh.

“Fruit of the flesh is a song about giving in to the voices in our head and suffering the consequences of poor decision making,” summarizes lead vocalist Patrick Rivers. “‘Fruit of the Flesh’ walks us through how a simple whisper can turn into a whole ordeal that we never intended, leading us into something we view as harmless. Turns out, we are generally aware of our bad decisions before we make them — and still end up choking on the Fruit of the Flesh.”

The sobering theological message is delivered with 3 Days Under’s full-bore rock sound, a post-grunge sound reminiscent of Soundgarden and Pearl Jam. In addition to Rivers’ vocals, the band is rounded out with Jamie Adams on bass and Robin Smith on lead guitar. 3 Days Under has been taking their time in the studio, perfecting this song and tracks for a forthcoming full-length album.

“God has us in a season of rest. We plan on more recording while doing a few shows,” Rivers says, looking ahead to the rest of the calendar year.

But although their pace has slowed from their usual heavy schedule, 3 Days Under’s sense of mission is only getting stronger.

“We’ve been on a seek and destroy mission for a while now,” the singer continues. “We’re tired of the same ol’ same ol’ when it comes to Christianity. We’re tired of the half-hearted Christians with the ‘good enough’ mindset. Half the things taught in church now days tickle the ears, so we figure we’ll just kick in the doors and address the hard truths we face everyday.”

“Fruit of the Flesh” is part of that process of kicking down doors, issuing a wake-up call to listeners in the form of a rock song gut punch.

The band name 3 Days under represents the 3 days that Jesus was dead before His resurrection. Based in Ashland, Kentucky, the band has been making music together since 2018’s self-titled album. They’ve seen steadily growing success through singles like “Bring Out Your Dead,” “See It Through” and “Shedding Skin.” The band formed with the same mission that continues to carry them: to use their hard-hitting sound to deliver those in the same bondage that the band members once found themselves in.
