NASHVILLE, TENN (AUGUST 14, 2024) – Fair Trade artist Megan Woods’ debut single, “The Truth,” has made an explosive entrance at CCM radio, marking the largest debut single launch in the past two and a half years. As of the add date, the song has been embraced by 39 radio stations nationwide, including prominent networks such as SiriusXM/The Message, WayFM, KSBJ/Houston, TX, and 104.7 The Fish/Atlanta, GA. Radio programmers praise this song and its message as relevant and timely.
“‘The Truth’ is such an incredible song of hope. With all the noise coming at us daily that can easily distract, cause confusion, and bring anxiety… I pray and believe this song is so needed right now!” - Ryan Gagne, The Q 90.1/Worcester, MA
The single has captured significant social media attention, accumulating over 23 million views across platforms. With 250,000+ new followers, “The Truth” continues to connect with listeners as a source of healing and personal declaration. On streaming platforms, the track has hit No.1 on the iTunes Christian chart in 21 countries. “The Truth” is also making its international mark on the Viral 50 Spotify chart for South Africa. In response to its overwhelming success, Megan Woods will be releasing a new version of the track, “The Truth (Strings Version),” on September 13, 2024.
A driving piano ballad showcasing Woods' powerhouse alto vocals, “The Truth” is a deeply personal proclamation that tells her life story that is connecting with fans and followers across the world. Woods explains, “I wanted to write a song that’s a reminder for people every day of who they are in Jesus. We don’t belong to the lies, we belong to God–that’s the truth. When the lies are closing in, this song can remind them of the truth. I hope there’s someone in the car that hears them understand they are their Father’s child.”
About Megan Woods: Hailing from a small town in Northern Massachusetts, Megan Woods discovered a profound love for music at a young age. Despite growing up in a Christian home, she struggled with her self-worth leading her to a desperate point. At her lowest moment, a phone call from a loved one who had experienced a near-death situation became a pivotal moment in her life, delivering the message, “Megan, Jesus Christ is real.”
This experience marked a dramatic turn, leading to her spiritual awakening and calling. Shortly after, Megan felt an intense calling from God to dedicate her life to music and ministry. "God was grabbing me by the shoulders and calling me to something larger than just myself," she reflects. Her mission is to share her story and the message of Jesus through her music, hoping to impact others as Christian music has affected her.
Through songwriting and deepening her relationship with Christ, she began her journey of healing. “When God called me to Him and I started writing songs about Jesus, my life changed.” Her music reflects this transformation, emphasizing the love and worth found in God. “A lot of people talk about how we need to love God, but I want people to realize God loves them! Sometimes we forget that He loved us first.” Megan Woods signed a record deal with Fair Trade Services in 2022 and is represented by booking agency Platform Artists and managed by Jason Davis and his team at Noble Management.
