Everyone dreams about being something. Sharing that dream is a taboo. Fulfilling it is almost an impossibility. But sometimes the dream is not just a dream. It’s the call, the willingness to stay the course when you can’t see what’s ahead. Knowing there is greatness in seeking God’s glory alone.
Since his youth, B.E.R.I.D.O.X. knew there was something special about his God-given ability to rap.
Like Joseph, dreaming of bowing sheaves of grain foretelling his future, B.E.R.I.D.O.X. knew his rap skills were a gift and they would one day be on display. Like a fine diamond, his talents were faceted by God’s timing and direction. It shaped him from battle rapper to songwriter, music producer, engineer, and DJ. Now, looking back on 30 years of music, B.E.R.I.D.O.X.’s time has finally come with the release of his new album It Was All A Dream.
Drawing inspiration from TinoHits’ masterful production, It Was All A Dream is poised to captivate class hip-hop enthusiasts while ministering God’s message to generations. Every listener will encounter a music style that has been perfected with time.
With amazing guest appearances from The Agape Music Group, Classmaticc, Dedge P, and Pastor Charles A.R., and mastering engineered by CHH pioneer DJ Morph, this project is hip-hop music infused with God’s thoughts.
Now, enter the dream world of B.E.R.I.D.O.X. and travel with him on a journey into sound!
“What Is This” is a high-energy, party-type song where B.E.R.I.D.O.X. escorts the listener into the It Was All A Dream album by baptizing them with a hard-hitting beat and clever lyrics.
The lyricism displayed in this song is crafty yet very spiritual, pointing out “God blessed us with the gifts, so we could come with more hits.” It’s a testament that being a Christian emcee doesn’t make you corny at all. You can still bring your skills to the table on the same high level as the world’s counterparts.
