NASHVILLE, TN - (9/11/24) - Forrest Frank is quickly creating a huge buzz in Christian music. After being named Billboard’s Top New Christian Artist of 2023 followed by the success of his genre-debut GOD IS GOOD EP, which reached Top 5 on the Top Christian Albums chart, his first full-length project, CHILD OF GOD released July 26 and quickly slid into the No.1 spot on the iTunes All Genres chart. CHILD OF GOD has held the No.1spot on the Billboard Christian Albums Chart for six weeks, making it the biggest Christian album debut of the year so far.
The 2024 GMA Dove Award New Artist of the Year nominee collaborated with Tori Kelly, CAIN, Jonathan Pokluda, Connor Price, Hulvey, JVKE, Sam Rivera and Caleb Gordon on various CHILD OF GOD tracks, with the first radio single,"Good Day" receiving a Dove Award nomination for Pop/Contemporary Song of the year. The track swiftly climbed the Christian radio charts, peaking at #3 on Mediabase Christian AC, Billboard Christian AC and #4 on Mediabase Christian Audience and Billboard Christian Airplay. His next single, “Never Get Used To This” featuringJVKE releases to radio this week, but can already be heard on K-LOVE, The House FM network in Oklahoma City, OK; Power 88 in Mobile, AL; Boost Radio network; Pulse 101.7 in Des Moines, IA; WGRC in Williamsport, PA; and The Q 99.7 in Springfield, MA. Frank hit multiple U.S. cities throughout the fall, with an almost completely sold-out run including LA's famed Shrine Auditorium and looking toward an even larger arena tour planned for 2025.
“My whole brand was built around God, and I’m not going to change that—ever,” Frank affirms. “I set out to make the greatest album I could make, and so many doors opened. I can’t believe it."
In addition to album sales and radio hits, the momentum Frank has generated with his music is explained in the massive and continued growth on his socials, with a base that has boomed to over 4 million fans on Instagram, YouTube and TikTok alone, and over 6 million Spotify monthly listeners.
ABOUT FORREST FRANK:
Forrest Frank acknowledges the weight of his words, deeds, and actions within his artistry. The award-nominated Texas-based singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist approaches life and music with gratitude and intent. This mindset underscores his music, and it’s why CHILD OF GOD has quietly taken flight as the best-selling Christian album of 2024.
The Houston-born 29-year-old, who’d temporarily put the idea of making solo music on the back burner to keep building on his band’s success, craved the freedom to make music just for himself again, and in 2021, a revelation inspired him to change course. Forrest opted to take a year off from touring, relocated to Waco, TX, and became a father.
Working completely independently, his self-described “simple worship song”—the powerful “NO LONGER BOUND” [feat. Hulvey]— opened up the floodgates, surging across social media, tallying north of 60.9 million Spotify streams and counting. He parlayed this momentum into CHILD OF GOD. Beyond performing on all 20 tracks, Forrest helmed the production, crafting an immersive soundscape anchored by elements of bright R&B, upbeat pop, and uplifting gospel. Thematically, he clung to a core message. “My whole brand was built around God, and I’m not going to change that—ever,” he affirms.
CHILD OF GOD soared to stratospheric heights upon arrival, gathering over 60,000 pre-saves in advance, capturing #1 on the iTunes Overall Top Albums Chart, and within a few months’ time, tallied over 1 billion global streams. Given the runaway success, Billboard named him the #1 Top New Christian Artist of 2023, and concurrently, the signature “GOOD DAY” has become a Christian radio hit and was nominated for a DOVE Award for Pop/Contemporary Recorded Song of the Year, with Frank nominated for “New Artist of the Year.” This fall he hit the road, seeing sold out shows coast-to-coast on his fall CHILD OF GOD headline tour.
