In 2020, Cobb released
A Seed, A Sunrise, an album that explored the ache of Advent, the joy of Christmas, and the expectant yearning for Christ's return. That album inspired this Advent devotional as she dove deeper into the poetic imagery of Isaiah and the biblical theme of exile. What began as a side project after her Christmas album, Cobb soon discovered that she had barely scratched the surface of the poetic imagery of Isaiah and began to write this book. ABOUT CAROLINE COBB: Before her thirtieth birthday, Caroline Cobb set a goal to write a song for every book of the Bible in one year. That year set a new calling into motion: to tell God's Story through music and other creative work, helping you rehearse it and respond to it as you go about your everyday life.
