In her majestic rendition of “O Come, O Come, Emmanuel,” she joins The Piano Guys’ pianist
Jon Schmidt and cellist
Steven Sharp Nelson for a sparsely orchestrated yet spellbinding track. Reflecting her deep-rooted faith, Barrett fully embodies the gravitas essential for such a profoundly moving piece, infusing her performance with equal parts wonder, longing, and joy.
Produced by Barrett’s frequent collaborator
Ross Copperman and recorded by The Piano Guys’
Al van der Beek, “O Come, O Come, Emmanuel” centers on a captivating arrangement created by Nelson and renowned pianist/composer
Marshall Stephen McDonald. As the song unfolds, Barrett’s exquisitely nuanced vocals create a breathtaking interplay with Schmidt’s resplendent piano melodies and Nelson’s soulful cello lines, quietly enveloping the listener in its fullhearted emotion. An unforgettable work of pure unfettered beauty, “O Come, O Come, Emmanuel” ultimately captures the hopeful spirit of the season with extraordinary grace.
Promising more collaborations like the award nominated “Go Tell It On The Mountain” by
