FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — Mawcore is turning the tables on the enemy with their newest fight song, “Against the Wall.” The new rock track is going for adds at radio now as well as streaming on all major platforms as part of the War Cry album.

With this song, Mawcore is arming their audience with the words to fight back when they experience spiritual oppression.

“Every negative word they try to sling, every reminder of our failures, every punch of loss and shortcoming, every snare, every lie they sling, cannot defeat us, when we are positioned in the right place, or with the right person,” lead singer Joshua Redding explains. “A lot of the time, it is portrayed that having your back against the wall is a bad thing. But to us, it started to feel like it was a place of advantage. A place where we actually had the upper hand. When you are getting tired, the wall helps you stand.”

The boldness saturating every hard rock riff sets the tone for the full-length album it hails from. Following closely behind album title track “War Cry,” “Against the Wall” continues to take a stance of power born from the foundational strength of the Gospel of Christ.

Redding elaborates, “This song is an extension of the overall album message: God in the impossible. He is our rock, He is our defense, He is our refuge, and He is our wall. When we position or align ourselves with Him, He fights with us and for us. When our back is against Him, He will shield us from each of the punches that the enemy slings at us. The enemy wants to take us out. They want us to believe we are worthless, weak and hopeless. But when we lean into The Wall, He reminds we are valuable hope-dealers, positioned for a great victory.”

Mawcore has been dealing that hope for years now, establishing themselves as a mainstay in the faith-based heavy music scene. With major festival appearances on stages at Uprise, Lifest, SoulFest and Agape Festival, Mawcore has been bringing their electrifying battlecries to a larger audience than ever before.
