Time is the final single prior the release of the collaborative album between MotionPlus and A-F-R-O. The second single from the ‘Focus’ project, Time is a beautifully smooth record that reminds everyone that our lives are not eternal, at least in the form we currently know, so we need to make the most of the life we get.

After receiving plenty of attention for their 2024 record “King’s Grace” and kicking off 2025 with the release of “S.O.S. (Souls On Sale),” the producer/emcee duo of MotionPlus and A-F-R-O delivers a single that moves like butter through your headphones. Hitting digital streaming platforms on January 17, 2025, Time has been well received by the Christian rap sphere. It has proved to be the perfect plate-setter for the full-length album. ‘Focus’ is one of the most anticipated projects of 2025.

Having set the stage for the album release, MotionPlus and A-F-R-O have diligently prepared listeners, with multiple singles and engaging on social media, for what many believe will be a sure-fire album-of-the-year effort.

Featuring the singles “S.O.S. (Souls On Sale)” and “Time,” Focus is as intentional as it is needed in the Christian rap genre at this time.

MotionPlus brings his years of experience and combines it with A-F-R-O’s trailblazing production to create a defining moment in the subgenre’s history. Focus is not an album strictly for the Church, yet it fills a void that has been vacant for some time. It is not an album strictly for the underground, yet it finds itself right at home outside of the spotlight.

Several of Christian hip-hop’s elite lyricists are featured on the album including Procyse, Knaladeus, Cas Metah, and JustMe. A-F-R-O also steps in beyond production duties to lend his voice to the project.

The album also marks the latest work alongside indie collective Polished Arrow Music, Procyse is a founding member of P.A. and MotionPlus was announced to the roster last year. MotionPlus has seamlessly integrated his style and approach into the crew since joining the ranks in 2024. The collective’s efforts have established their mission as a driving force within CHH, as they are at the heart of the boom-bap resurgence taking place in the space.
