Nashville, TN (February 11, 2025) - Emerging Christian rock band Robert Peterson and The Crusade has officially released their debut single, Baa Baa The Black Sheep, to Christian radio today. As the first track and lead single from their upcoming album, Change Coming On, this song sets the stage for the band’s unique blend of modern and classic rock infused with a strong message of faith and redemption.
Led by Robert Peterson, a musician and songwriter with deep roots in both science and sound, the band’s music is defined by its rich vocal harmonies, compelling guitar hooks, and thought-provoking lyrics. Recorded at Tangerine Studios in St. Paul, MN, the track was engineered and mastered by Jack Vondrachek, with Peterson on guitar and also taking the helm as producer, songwriter, and arranger.
At its core, Baa Baa The Black Sheep delivers a message of hope, reflecting the heart of Peterson’s songwriting approach—allowing each listener to engage with the lyrics on a personal level. “The value and worth of each person to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ cannot be understated,” says Peterson. “It is my desire that the underlying Christian message in my songs ultimately leads listeners to a closer walk with Him.”
Robert Peterson and The Crusade bring together a team of seasoned musicians, including Benji Peterson, whose collective experience spans multiple Midwest rock bands. While their backgrounds are diverse, their mission is singular—to create authentic, melodic rock music that resonates with the spirit and soul.
With its powerful storytelling and evocative melodies, Baa Baa The Black Sheep is a compelling introduction to Robert Peterson and The Crusade’s musical journey. The band looks forward to sharing their debut album, Change Coming On, with audiences later this year.
