Centricity Music, the No. 1 Billboard Top Christian Albums Imprint for three consecutive years, signs Southern California native, multi-instrumentalist and indie rock, alt-pop artist John Allan to an exclusive, worldwide recording and publishing contract.
Inspired by the sounds of artists like The Killers, The National, Gang of Youths, Bon Iver and Novo Amor, Allan’s music is a creative feast for the senses that fuses both his sonic influences and his genuine love for Jesus. With original tracks that reflect his church-centric upbringing and love of leading worship at his local SoCal church, Allan believes that song lyrics are what matter the most.
“People are going to believe something about God based on what the song is saying,” contends Allan, who released a pair of EPs in 2022. “I really believe it’s about stewarding what He’s planted and chasing the idea until it’s healthy enough to thrive in someone else’s life.
“I’ve always felt drawn to music,” adds Allan, “but I think beyond music, it’s always been art — whether it’s pictures, melodies, lyrics, poetry, movies, television, scripts… I’ve loved it. So, the fact that I can even desire to create art, well, that’s just God planting that desire for His glory.”
“I’m incredibly proud to welcome John Allan to the Centricity Music family,” says James Duke, director of A&R. “His artistry is truly one of a kind and we can’t wait to see how his songs impact the world!”
“John's love for art, music, Jesus and the Church is truly one of a kind. He’s magnetic!” exclaims David McCollum, manager at Change Relay. “His passion is contagious, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to be on this journey with him—sharing his energy, authenticity and music as it finds its way into the hearts and minds of listeners everywhere.”
With his Centricity Music debut single set to release later this month, all the latest John Allan music, tour and more news can be found at: www.johnallanmusic.com, Instagram, YouTube, Spotify and Apple Music.
