Mar. 28, 2025 (FRANKLIN, TN) – Artist collective Anchor Hymns introduces “The Garden (Live),” their brand-new album recorded in the heart of Nashville, TN, at Covenant Presbyterian.

Since its inception, Anchor Hymns has sought to write songs that give language to grief, loss, hope, and joy, and in so doing, to equip the Church with reflective hymns that matter in all spaces of life. Andrew Osenga, founder of the collective, said that they wanted “to offer songs that resonate with dignity, honesty, and hope for that solemn and sacred night.”

The new project presents 14 songs around the theme of hope in Christ’s faithfulness and redemptive power - in this life and the next - as a way of honoring the weight of the recording location.

“The Garden (Live)” is the other side to Anchor Hymns’s previous project, “Beloved: Live From Black Abbey,” also recorded in Nashville, but that time at a local brewery. The latter offered songs for everyday life and friendship with God, while the new album centres on songs for valley moments. This balance is what the collective has always been after; creating sacred spaces for celebration and suffering alike.

The new album features 15 artists including Paul Baloche, Caroline Cobb, Sarah Kroger, Sandra McCracken, Dee Wilson, Citizens, The Sing Team, Buddy Greene, Ashley Cleveland and more.

“This recording’s songs were chosen according to the make-up of the Anchor Hymns community and the experience of God’s everlasting faithfulness at its core,” Osenga continued.

“The Garden (Live)” brings together the reality of death, resurrection, and the in between with hope-filled songs that point to the real presence of Christ with us.
