Huntington Beach, CA (Velvet Blue Music) – Velvet Blue Music is excited to announce “Ever Sing for Joy,” the innovative new single from synth-pop visionary Ronnie Martin. As the first taste of Martin’s forthcoming album Consume Like a Moth What Is Dear, the song builds on the legacy of Martin’s long-running cult electronic pop band Joy Electric, which released 14 albums and cultivated a worldwide fanbase, music scene, and the annual Autobahn Electronic Music Festival.
On “Ever Sing for Joy,” Ronnie Martin’s signature Moog synthesizer wizardry takes center stage. Layers of warm, analog Moog textures intertwine to create a kaleidoscopic tapestry of sound, from pulsating bass arpeggios to luminous lead melodies. The synth tones here are richly vintage yet surprisingly fresh – the sounds of the past becoming the songs of the future. Martin pushes his melodic creativity to new heights, coaxing cinematic and widescreen synth soundscapes out of classic gear. Each melody line feels carefully crafted, bursting with color and emotion, proving once again Martin’s status as one of electronic pop’s most imaginative melody-makers.
Longtime fans will recognize a beloved spark in this single that echoes the adventurous spirit of Joy Electric’s The White Songbook era. Much like that early-2000s classic, “Ever Sing for Joy” balances expansive songcraft with an intimate charm – its expansive, prog-like structure and analog synth palette harken back to the inventive synth-pop Martin pioneered years ago. Yet this new song isn’t mere nostalgia; it stands on its own as a bold, modern adventure.
“Ever Sing for Joy” is out March 28, serving as a thrilling introduction to Ronnie Martin’s upcoming full-length Consume Like a Moth What Is Dear (due April 18). With its blend of artsy electronic experimentation and pure pop satisfaction, this single is sure to delight fans of adventurous synth-pop. Velvet Blue Music invites listeners to experience Ronnie Martin’s latest opus – a synth-driven celebration of melody, imagination, and radiant joy.
