"Fist Evangelist" is the fourth single from the Finnish death metal powerhouse Inborn Tendency's upcoming debut album. The fresh track offers a slightly different and groovier sound with hardcore influences. The lyrics deal with a change in conviction, from steadfastness to violence.
Singer Ville Herranen states, "We are not supporting violence or violent protests. The song is about how our will to be right and impose our values on to others can easily become something that is very much against the values we are trying to advocate."
"This is something I have struggled with personally and, while the song is obviously written in a very caricaturistic manner, it holds a special meaning and acts as a stark reminder for us to act in accordance with our beliefs," continues Herranen.
The band has previously announced that their debut album will be released sometime in 2025.
