Hailing from the Mexican border town of Matamoros, My Place Was Taken was formed by vocalist Jesus Salas and guitarist Abraham Barberi – a reaction to the culture of drugs and violence that had insidiously infiltrated their local metal community. They wanted to create a musical force of supreme heaviness and power that would also offer an alternative positive message, bringing the metal scene together, uniting them with music. My Place Was Taken came to the attention of Rottweiler Records after releasing two crushing EPs – My Place Was Taken and Imparables – and playing an incendiary Mexican show with Grave Robber. Now the first fruits of this new alliance are about to be unleashed in the form of Altar De Moloc, a monumental single, delivered with fierce focus and single minded intent…

Altar De Moloc opens with an onslaught of deep, thunderous riffs, driven by a soul shaking sense of menace. The guitars seem to delve into the deep places of the earth while the vocals pronounce their message with a combination of imperious guttural might and incisive invective. The combination of elements is a full frontal assault that is as exhilarating as it is impactful. Altar De Moloc is a massive hit of maximum deathcore devastation and a statement of intent for all that is to come from My Place Was Taken and Rottweiler Records!

With artwork depicting the unholy horror of Moloc, the ancient Canaanite deity who demanded the sacrifice of children in his worship, Altar De Moloc will be unleashed on May 9th!

Line up:
Jesus Salas - Vocals
Abraham Barberi - Guitars
Helix Nebula – Bass
Daniel Castaneda - Drums
