Today, Colony House released their brand new song, "Telephone Pole," from their upcoming album, "77."
About the track, the band writes:
“Telephone Pole” is as nuanced as it is on the nose. I was driving home one day when I noticed a telephone pole with tire marks next to it—evidence, I assumed, of a car that had lost control and slammed into the wooden beam. The scene struck me: life often feels the same way, only I am that vehicle, spinning out of control—twisting and turning—until I come face to face with a reality that stops me dead in my tracks.
On one hand, “Telephone Pole” is a stream-of-consciousness observation of life’s uncertainties. On the other, it’s a celebration of hope: that all those twists and turns that make no sense now will one day come into focus. At its core, this song feels as genuine to Colony House as anything that’s led us to a fifth album. It’s raw and a little rough around the edges, arms wide open, offering a good-old-fashioned Colony House bear hug to anyone willing to give it a listen.
and we hope you're willing ;)
