Nashville, TN (August 29, 2025) — The Gaither Vocal Band has spanned decades and across generations. The multi-award-winning singing group shines as brightly as ever on its new offering, Then Came the Morning, out today via Gaither Music Group.

This inspirational collection of uplifting songs is available in both CD and DVD formats. Stream and purchase the new album and DVD here.

“This project is a celebration of faith and fresh starts,” shares Bill Gaither, who curated the song list to reflect the group’s journey and purpose. “It speaks to the sunrise after the night, to the things that last, and to the joy we find in every new day.”

There is a bright, bold, exhilarating feeling flowing through the project, which features a cross-section of nostalgic and classic songs performed with GVB’s signature sound. The inspirational album brims with stirring arrangements and heartfelt storytelling.

The epic title track, “Then Came The Morning,” (which was co-written by Bill and Gloria Gaither and Chris Christian) anchors the project, offering an uplifting reminder of the power of God’s promises after life’s darkest nights. Other standouts include an anthemic “There’s a Hole in the Heart of This Country,” The Imperials’ classics “Sweet, Sweet Spirit” and “No Shortage,” the invigorating “Hard Trials Will Soon Be Over,” and other beloved selections from the Bill and Gloria Gaither songbook. Then Came the Morning was filmed at TBN studios in Nashville, TN and features special guests, including Gene McDonald, Gloria Gaither, Chris Blue, Joseph Habedank, Angela Primm and the Voices of Lee Vocal Choir.

The full ninety-minute TV special will be available as a companion DVD and exclusively on Gaither TV+. The TV show will premiere on many TV networks, SiriusXM, and a YouTube airing across the country in conjunction with the album’s release. Check your local listings or the Gaither.com website here. The music will also be featured on Bill Gaither’s enLighten station (SiriusXM Channel 150).

Bill Gaither has curated the beloved singing group since 1981 with the original Gaither Vocal Band. Over the course of its 44-year history, the GVB has served as a standard-bearer in the world of gospel music, having earned 2 GRAMMY® Awards, 13 GRAMMY® nominations, and 18 Dove Awards. In 2014, Gaither Vocal Band was inducted into the Gospel Music Association Hall of Fame. The legendary group has performed at the world’s most prestigious venues, including the Sydney Opera House, The Kennedy Center, and Carnegie Hall. Since 2017, the Gaither Vocal Band has featured Bill Gaither, Wes Hampton, Adam Crabb, Todd Suttles, and Reggie Smith.

Then Came the Morning stands as a powerful testimony to the group’s enduring mission to bring messages of grace, hope, and redemption through song.
