NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Sept. 29, 2025 – Chart-topping band We Are Messengers has announced plans to hit the road this December for A Celtic Christmas Tour, following a successful global run in 2024 which took the band around the world playing to the largest audiences of their career. The first holiday tour of its kind from this award-winning band, helmed by Irish-born frontman Darren Mulligan, A Celtic Christmas Tour will showcase an incredible night of live, traditional Irish music celebrating the birth of Jesus. Launching Dec. 4, with an already sold-out show in Buffalo, N.Y., the holiday tour will continue its seasonal run to cities in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois and more. Tickets for most markets will go on sale Friday, Oct. 3. Ticket info can be found at WeAreMessengersMusic.com.
Featuring songs from the band’s very first traditional Irish Christmas EP, Rejoice! (A Celtic Christmas), the live shows will be flavored with the Celtic sounds of live musicians on fiddle, guitar, upright bass, concertina and more. In addition to seasonal favorites, concert goers may also experience some of the group’s best-loved hits like “Come What May,” “Maybe It’s Ok,” “A Thousand Times” and more.
“I love celebrating the advent season with my family and friends,” Mulligan shares. “But sometimes all the decorations, festivities and busyness can eclipse or distract from my sense of wonder for a God who would send his only son to be the light of the world in a world full of darkness. Growing up in Ireland, I had the privilege of being part of a culture that fully celebrated the joy of Christmas without Jesus getting lost at his own birthday party. Say what you will about the Irish, but we never do anything half-hearted. We celebrate Christmas with a lively, holy joyfulness, and with a still and quiet reverence.
“I wish everyone could come to Ireland and experience our culture and the customs of the season,” he continues. “So this Christmas, I wanted We Are Messengers to export and share this authentic, genuine Irish advent celebration with our listeners everywhere, in hopes that they can experience our savior’s birth in a way that is new, fresh, timeless, Irish and very Christ-centered.”
