NASHVILLE, Tenn. (OCTOBER 03, 2025) Internationally acclaimed worship leader and songwriter
Matt Redman unveils his first-ever “live-studio” album,

Life & Breath now.
"In the past, I’ve made live records with a congregation and studio albums, but for this project, I wanted to try something different—a ‘live studio’ record. Recording at Gold Pacific Studios in Nashville allowed us to achieve the precision of a studio while still capturing the energy and breath of a live worship setting."
At the heart of the record is its title track, “Life & Breath,” a modern hymn that walks listeners through the grand narrative of creation, redemption, resurrection, and eternity. Redman explains, “I’m really into that hymn-style song right now, because the multi-verse structure gives you so much space to unpack the story and heart of God. With 'Life & Breath,' I wanted a song that gives a big-picture view of who God is and what He’s done, pointing us toward the eternal future with Jesus.”
Redman also highlights “Let Me See Jesus / Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus”—a deeply personal song that he says embodies his conviction about the true role of a worship leader. “‘Let Me See Jesus’ stems from the belief that our job isn’t just to help people sing—it’s to help people see,” he reflects. “The song admits, ‘I’ve sung so many songs, cried out at the top of my lungs, but my heart is reaching for something deeper, something more.’ That’s still where I find myself today, even after decades of writing songs. There’s always more of Christ to see and know.” Charity Gayle joins Redman on a stirring new version of the track, adding even greater depth to its cry for a renewed vision of Jesus.
“The God We Love (Nicene Creed)” is another standout song, a modern musical interpretation of the 1,700-year-old Nicene Creed. Created in collaboration with CityAlight’s Jonny and Rich, the song took five months of careful work—Zoom calls, audio notes, and over 250 messages—to honor the timeless text while bringing it to life for today’s worshippers.
Redman collaborated on this project with worship leaders from Joe L Barnes, CalledOut Music, Charity Gayle, as well as Quintin Trotter from Redman's band and the Lipscomb University Gospel Choir. Each guest brings a fresh energy and depth to the songs.
He adds, "As always, these songs are just ways of talking to God – hopefully in a way that’s both reverent and relevant. If any of those songs help people see Jesus more clearly, then love Him more dearly—and ultimately follow Him more closely —then that’s mission accomplished."
