PITTSBURGH, PA — February 2, 2026 — Christian metal band Ashes Awaken are set to release their highly anticipated debut album, Rise, on February 6, 2026, and are kicking off the new year with the premiere of their autobiographical single and official video, “Amazing Grace, Again.” The song, written by frontman Michael Stover, encapsulates the album’s central theme of redemption, resilience, and the transformative power of Christ’s love. “If I had to pick one song from the album that told the entire story of my redemption through Christ, this one is it,” says Stover. “I am so proud of this song. It’s real. It’s raw. It’s uplifting and hopeful. I owe it all to Jesus.”
“Amazing Grace, Again” charts a journey from darkness into light, confronting addiction, self-loathing, and personal demons with honesty and urgency. Lyrics like:
“I was crawling in shadows, no light to be found… But then the silence broke like a crack in the sky / A voice like thunder said, ‘Child, you can rise!’”
capture the visceral struggle of brokenness transformed by divine grace. With soaring choruses, punishing guitars, and cathartic percussion, the track is both a metal powerhouse and a heartfelt testimony of salvation.
The forthcoming album, Rise, spans 11 tracks that traverse confession, repentance, spiritual warfare, and ultimate renewal.
