RALEIGH/DURHAM, NC — February 20, 2026 — Christian hip-hop artist Justin Mitchell returns with The Reset EP, a five-track EP, available today, marking a defining moment of personal and creative transformation. More than a collection of songs, The Reset EP represents a recalibration of purpose — musically, spiritually, and artistically — as Mitchell steps fully into this new chapter under his own name following an earlier era of releasing music under a different alias.
Blending gritty East Coast hip-hop textures with Christ-centered themes of identity, perseverance, and calling, The Reset EP challenges expectations of what Christian rap can sound like while remaining grounded in authentic faith expression rather than performance-driven religiosity. The project reflects Mitchell’s desire to strip away external pressures and rediscover the simplicity of following Jesus, a theme that carries throughout the EP’s sound and message.
A Project Built on Reflection and Redirection
The EP opens with “Won’t Let Go,” a cinematic and introspective introduction that captures Mitchell’s process of realigning his passions, career, and spiritual focus. The track serves as a mission statement, inviting listeners into the mindset behind this artistic reset and signaling a clear transition into a new season of artistry.
“How I Do It,” featuring Virginia-based emcee D.Faith and produced by DJLC, delivers a classic hip-hop feel while addressing the recurring question artists of faith often face: Why do you do this? The track answers with confidence rooted in calling rather than perception.
On “TAWK,” Mitchell joins respected lyricist Selah The Corner for a gritty, bar-driven collaboration produced by OnBeatMusic, showcasing sharp wordplay and unapologetic conviction while remaining centered on faith lived boldly.
The EP closes with two versions of “Destiny” — a Radio Edit and Extended Cut — underscoring the thematic weight of the song. The record reflects Mitchell’s personal journey of trusting God’s direction even when outcomes remain uncertain, reinforcing the overarching message of surrender, perseverance, and purpose woven throughout the project.

Redefining the Lane
With The Reset EP, Justin Mitchell is not attempting to fit into an existing mold of Christian hip-hop but instead aims to expand the conversation — musically grounded in hip-hop tradition while lyrically centered on lived faith, transparency, and growth. The EP emphasizes authenticity over image, substance over trend, and calling over category, positioning Mitchell for a new season of music, ministry, and creative collaboration.
The Reset EP is now available on all major digital streaming platforms.
