NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 13, 2026) — Award-winning Christian artist Colton Dixon will premier the official music video for “In Spite of Me” on YouTube today at 10 a.m. CT, continuing momentum from a banner stretch in his career as he prepares to launch a nationwide spring tour.
“What started as an open letter apology to those affected negatively by church people, ‘In Spite of Me’ quickly became my personal prayer for those directly around me,” Dixon says about the track. “None of us are perfect, including myself. While I try to always do and say the right thing, sometimes I fall short. My hope is that my wife, kids, friends, and every single person I come in contact with find Jesus even in spite of my shortcomings.
“What made this video extra special for me was getting to return to the beautiful church where my wife and I said our vows to each other, committing ourselves to one another in our pursuit of Jesus in everything we do. I pray that as you watch and listen to this song, you’re reminded that we do have people around us that are affected by our words and actions. I challenge you to be the best example of Jesus possible, because sometimes God uses broken people like us to draw others closer to Him.”
After surpassing 1 billion global streams, scoring multiple No. 1 chart hits, and selling out headlining tours, the past several years have marked the biggest period of Dixon’s decade-long career since emerging as a fan-favorite finalist on "American Idol." He recently earned two RIAA Gold-certified singles with his No. 1 hit “Build A Boat,” which has amassed more than 179 million global streams, and the hit single “Miracles.”
Dixon’s momentum was further reflected in the 2025 year-end industry charts. Billboard’s 2025 year-end charts underscored Dixon’s continued radio impact. His single “UP + UP” finished No. 1 on the Christian Airplay Songs Year-End Chart and No. 5 on the Christian AC Airplay Songs Year-End Chart. Dixon also ranked No. 5 among Christian Airplay Artists and No. 9 among Christian AC Airplay Artists. According to Mediabase, his hit single “UP + UP” finished No. 5 on the Christian AC Year-End Chart and No. 6 on the Christian Impressions Year-End Chart, landing Dixon ranked No. 9 among the Most Played Artists on Christian Impressions.
Meanwhile, Dixon’s current radio single “The Love I Have For You” continues to gain traction, now playing on more than 90 monitored stations nationwide, including major networks SiriusXM’s The Message, K-LOVE and WayFM. The single has also reached the Top 10 on the Mediabase Christian AC Activator Chart.
Dixon will bring the new music to audiences on the road this spring, kicking off a multi-city The Love I Have For You Tour beginning March 19 and also featuring Tasha Layton and Bodie.

ABOUT COLTON DIXON
Colton Dixon knows what music can do. He’s seen it break down barriers, defy expectations, and unite people in packed arenas worldwide. He’s watched it heal pain, inspire smiles, and lift spirits. So, he treats his chosen artform with the utmost care and respect. In 2013, he made history and notched “the biggest first-week sales by a new solo Christian act” with his full-length debut LP, "A Messenger." It paved the way for the fan favorite "Anchor" [2014] and "Identity" [2017], marking three straight #1 debuts on the Billboard Top Christian Albums Chart.
2020’s “Miracles” took flight, reacting with audiences. Two years later, he elevated to another stratosphere altogether with “Build A Boat.” The latter went Gold, generated 179 million-plus streams, attracted multiplatinum country superstar Gabby Barrett for a popular Duet version, captured #1 on both the Billboard Hot Christian Songs Chart and Christian Airplay Chart, and soared as “the longest-running Mediabase Christian AC #1 song of 2022.” Plus, it inspired the best-selling children’s book—also entitled "Build A Boat"—which Colton penned. In the wake of this success, “Miracles” reached RIAA Gold status too, while "UP + UP" was the #1 song of 2025 on the Billboard Christian Airplay chart.
All the while, he distinguished himself as the rare presence who could perform at the White House’s National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony or at the Grand Ole Opry. He maintained this momentum with “Rest Of My Life”—which played over the credits of Angel Studios’ "SIGHT" starring Terry Chen and Greg Kinnear—and 2024’s “UP+UP.” He has performed on "Good Morning America," "Fox & Friends," "The Kelly Clarkson Show," and "Today" as well as receiving praise from People magazine and more. He even launched his own fragrance “Desert Rain” in collaboration with Day Three Fragrances. Plus, Steinway & Sons welcomed him to its roster as an endorsee alongside the likes of Billy Joel and Harry Connick, Jr.
