NASHVILLE, Tenn. (MARCH 13, 2026) GRAMMY®-nominated worship leader and songwriter Pat Barrett releases his highly anticipated live album, Break Open, available everywhere today. The project was recorded live at Big Church Day Out in the UK in August 2025, capturing a powerful night of worship and the first time Barrett had shared many of these songs live with a crowd.
Serving as the live expression of Barrett’s most recent studio album, I’ve Got A Fire, Break Open brings new life and energy to the songs that have already resonated with listeners around the world. Several songs from the studio project continue to build momentum, with the title track “I’ve Got A Fire” climbing the radio charts and “Always On Time” steadily growing in popularity within churches. While creating the studio project, Barrett eagerly anticipated the moment he could experience these songs in a room full of people. When it became a reality, it was one of the most memorable nights of music in his career.
“I didn’t realize it at the time, but the song that became the title track, ‘Break Open,’ really captures the heart of this project: reminding us that God is better than we often think He is,” shares Pat Barrett. “The night we recorded it was wild—one of the most unforgettable nights I’ve had making music. These songs declare that God is more loving, more powerful, more gracious, and more present than we realize. Whatever box we’ve placed Him in, maybe it’s time for it to break open. As Paul writes in Ephesians 3:20–21, God is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine.”
Featuring several tracks from I’ve Got A Fire, Break Open captures the joy, depth, and communal spirit that come alive in a live worship environment. Recorded in front of thousands at one of the UK’s largest Christian festivals, the album reflects the spontaneous moments, passionate singing, and shared faith that defined the night. Fans will also be able to experience moments from that special night as performance videos from the event roll out on Barrett’s YouTube channel over the coming weeks.
Barrett is currently on Brandon Lake’s “King of Hearts Tour,” an extensive arena run spanning 50 dates and concluding May 2, 2026, in Charleston, South Carolina. Break Open is available now on all streaming platforms.
