NASHVILLE, Tenn. (April 10, 2026) — QHMG / Quartz Hill Records’ girl-next-door singer-songwriter Lakelin Lemmings today released “Life of Mine,” a country contentment anthem about finding everyday happiness in your sweetheart, family and faith, and a small-town American life.

Adapted from “This Little Light of Mine,” a timeless hymn often attributed to evangelist Harry Dixon Loes, “Life of Mine” retains a distinct, faith-inspired flavor, firing up a church organ to join a sunny country-pop soundscape driven by bluesy electric guitar and backbeat drums.

“‘Life of Mine’ was sent to me by my producer, and I fell in love with it, but it just wasn’t me,” says Lemmings. “So I asked the writers if I could rewrite a few lyrics and change a few things to make it more personal and they agreed, so we wrote it with them and it turned out amazing!”

Produced by Ash Bowers (Matt Stell’s multi-Platinum No. 1 “Prayed for You”), Lemmings co-wrote “Life of Mine” with Jaron Boyer, Matt Gorman, John Stephens, Dan Marshall and Kaylin Roberson. The chorus retains the classic, catchy melody of “This Little Light of Mine” while expanding on the original’s lyrical themes of contentment and self-worth:

This little life of mine
I’m gonna live it right
I got a good one by my side
And his love keeps me alive
It ain’t much, I know
But it’s suitin’ me just fine
I’m alright
With this little life of mine

“Life of Mine” is Lemmings’ first new music since the release of her acclaimed debut EP, Get Around Boy. The EP’s title track is a contemporary-tinged road anthem that explores the personal cost of chasing dreams. “Get Around Boy” is also Lakelin’s upcoming debut radio single, impacting U.S. country radio on April 27.

The Get Around Boy EP has earned widespread praise from music critics:

• Entertainment Focus described the five-track project as “an assured and impressively slick debut, especially for an artist so young.”
• Country Now commended how Lemmings “embraces her small-town roots and tells her story on her own terms.”
• Fandom Daily lauded the EP as “a defining early chapter in Lemmings’ career... balancing youthful perspective with striking emotional clarity.”

Lemmings is organically building a strong fan base, including more than 120,000 followers and 2.3 million likes on TikTok. With the release of “Life of Mine,” she continues to solidify her growing reputation as a genuine and relatable voice for young country music fans everywhere.
