Small Step Records is proud to announce the release of “The Nights,” the brand-new single from Seattle-based punk rock duo Humble Kings, available now on all streaming platforms.
Humble Kings take a bold step with “The Nights,” a cover of the beloved song. While the band has built their song writing on personal, original material, this release marks their first-ever recorded cover.
“We've never recorded a cover because we want to write songs that are authentically us,” the band shared. “But this one felt right. It's a message from father to child that life is short and precious, so live every moment intentionally, and to the fullest. Most dads, ourselves included, struggle to communicate to our children how deeply we want them to have a happy and fulfilling life. This one nails it.”
“The Nights” stands as both a tribute and a transformation—honoring the spirit of the original while infusing it with the band’s distinctive Pacific Northwest punk rock edge. Humble Kings channel the melodic punch and speed of Bad Religion, Millencolin, and Pennywise—fans of these bands will feel right at home.
