Blending the sounds of indie artists such as Nightly and The Midnight with Christian staples like Tauren Wells and Forrest Frank, Lee Marie presents polished production paired with honest lyrics that reflect two real-life faith journeys intersecting through redemption and renewed faith.

ABOUT THE ALBUM

Upside Down captures the tension between the life we plan and the life God calls us into. Each track reflects real moments from two individuals — Dustin, the preacher’s kid, and Ryan, the prodigal — on very different paths, and how Jesus brought those paths together into a story of restoration and renewed faith.

Through modern production, layered synth textures, and emotionally direct lyrics, the album communicates that God’s greatest work often unfolds in ways we would never expect.

Songs throughout the project highlight freedom from past struggles, peace that comes through surrender, and the discovery of identity and purpose through faith. Lee Marie is the solo project of Illinois-based singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Dustin Griffith. Evolving from his CCM roots, Griffith creates indie alt-pop that pairs shimmering synth textures and hook-driven melodies with candid, faith-centered lyrics about hope in Jesus.

Drawing inspiration from artists such as The Midnight, Nightly, and Fly By Midnight, Lee Marie blends modern pop production with a message of spiritual renewal.
