Ohio-based alt pop rock duo Dragons & Astronauts is set to release the lead single “Chasing After Shadows” on April 24, 2026. The track serves as the first taste of the band’s forthcoming full-length album, Broken Parables, scheduled for release on June 26, 2026.

Featuring raw, driving lyrics “I’m running fast but going nowhere, chasing ghosts that’s never cared / I’m chasing after shadows” the song captures a restless confrontation with time, regret, and the illusions we chase. It blends the project’s signature energetic alt pop rock sound with introspective themes that speak directly to anyone who’s ever felt stuck in motion—battling the dragons inside themselves while reaching for something beyond this world, preaching to anyone but the choir, as always.

‘Chasing After Shadows’ is about how time, past and present, can feel like it’s slipping away while we’re still trying to catch up. The clock’s a liar… but we’re not scared.

The single is currently available early for streaming, download, and purchase exclusively on Bandcamp. As with all previous releases - the band will donate 100% of proceeds to AKC Canine Health Foundation - canine epilepsy research. The single will hit all major streaming platforms on April 24, 2026.
