NASHVILLE, Tenn. – “One of Christian music's most prolific songwriters” (Billboard)Matthew West continues to build on a season of purpose-driven music with the release of his new song“Jesus Is King,”out now. A high-energy anthem rooted in scripture, the track written by West with AJ Pruis delivers a clear and confident proclamation of the gospel – reflecting on the Cross, the empty tomb and the promise of Christ's return.

“There's a lot of noise right now about power and who's calling the shots,” shares West. “'Jesus is King' is my way of coming back to what's true — He's still on the throne, still in control… and He always will be.”

“Jesus is King” builds on the momentum of his January release, “Good,” which has quickly become his fastest rising single since 2019. The reflective track that explores themes of grace, humility and surrender is now climbing the Top 10 at Christian radio. Anchored by a powerful, sing-along chorus, the song underscores that grace is not earned through effort, but freely given because God is good.

The release follows West's recent run on WINTER JAM 2026 where he headlined more than 40 dates nationwide. Night after night, West brought his signature blend of storytelling and faith-driven music to packed arenas, continuing to solidify his connection with audiences across the country. West will further share his message on the road this summer with appearances at several of Christian music's largest festivals before setting sail for The Story House At Sea, a multi-day cruise through Alaska. He will also perform at the coveted Red Rocks Amphitheatre on August 4 alongside Chris Tomlin for the sold-out K-LOVE Live at Red Rocks.
