RUSSELL SPRINGS, KY — Kevin Williams – guitarist, comedian, and speaker – is coming home, and he's bringing the music, the laughter, and a whole lot of heart with him.

 

On Saturday, April 25 at 6:00 PM CST, Williams will headline a special benefit concert at First Baptist Church in Russell Springs, Kentucky — the town that raised him — with doors opening at 5:00 PM. The evening will raise support for Kevin's Kids, the youth-focused nonprofit Williams founded in 2014 that has raised over $700,000 to benefit needy children in Kentucky.

 

The concert is absolutely free to attend, with an offering to be taken in support of the ministry.

 

Williams will be joined by an outstanding roster of performers, including Bradley Walker, Andy Leftwich, Larry Beasley, Matthew Holt, Michael Shade Rowsey, the Crossroads Quartet, a Community Choir, and more.

 

A Russell Springs native, Williams has built one of the most remarkable careers in gospel music over 39 years. He serves as guitarist, band leader, and resident comedian for Bill & Gloria Gaither and the Gaither Vocal Band, now in his 34th year with the organization. He also co-hosts “Bill Gaither's Homecoming Radio,” heard on SiriusXM and over 3,500 radio stations and outlets nationwide. Kevin has appeared at Carnegie Hall, the Grand Ole Opry, the Kennedy Center, the Sydney Opera House, London's Royal Festival Hall, among others, spanning all 50 states, 18 countries, and 5 continents.

 

As a session guitarist and producer, Kevin's touch has been heard on countless songs by major Christian and Country Music artists. He has played on and produced over 3,000 recording projects — including more than 120 gold and platinum albums, numerous Grammy and Dove Award-winning projects, and millions of units sold. His credits span an extraordinary range of artists, including Chris Blue (winner of "The Voice"), Jimmy Dean, Vince Gill, Lee Greenwood, George Jones, Larry Gatlin & the Gatlin Brothers, Mark Lowry, Ronnie Milsap, Willie Nelson, the Oak Ridge Boys, Sandi Patty, Dottie Rambo, George Beverly Shea, Paul Simon, the Statler Brothers, Russ Taff, Conway Twitty, Wendy Bagwell & the Sunliters, Gene Watson, The Booth Brothers, and more.

 

He was inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame in 1989, commissioned as an official Kentucky Colonel by Governor Steve Beshear in 2014, and in 2017, local officials honored him with his own street — Kevin Williams Way — right here in Russell Springs.

 

Through Kevin's Kids, Williams has channeled that same love for his hometown into tangible impact, helping hundreds of children each year with resources and support across Kentucky.
