The time has come to return to the world of the battle angel, Tyrael! Two years after their stunning debut, Hell Walker, hard-hitting melodic metal band Tyraels Ascension are back with the second part in an ongoing trilogy of conceptual albums – Grave Seeker! Continuing the tale of Tyrael, an angel who descends to a broken world to fight against the demons that plague its inhabitants, Grave Seeker takes all the glorious guitar work, savage vocals, incredible riffs, atmosphere, emotion and melody of its predecessor and lifts them to new heights. The wait has felt endless, but now the journey begins once more…

Beginning in emphatic fashion with the stunning ‘No End In Sight’, the electrifying excitement that drove Hell Walker forward so successfully is present in every note. Aggression, power, magnificent choruses and engaging melodies, all spectacularly adorned in breathtaking guitar work that takes the best of classic metal soloing and searing technicality and fuses them into an exhilarating metallic weapon – Tyrael’s sword in sonic form! Grave Seeker not only matches Hell Walker, riff for adrenaline infused riff, it builds on the debut’s indestructible foundations, adding a rich emotional depth to the songwriting, infusing each track with a darker, more profound intensity.

First single, ‘Bittersweet’, which is out today, is the perfect example of the emotive power inherent in Grave Seeker’s songs – steeped in melancholy, entwined in masterful guitar work and reaching a beautiful conclusion. Other highlights include ‘Fire From The Sky’, weighty with ominous portent and featuring a throat ripping, impassioned vocal performance from Alex Theesen, ‘The Serpent’s Demise’ with its superb sense of narrative, towering melodies and enthralling atmosphere and ‘Fragmented Pieces’ – guitars leaping, turning and twisting while the locked in rhythm section delivers tight, focussed hammer blows of magnificent force. In truth though, every listen to Grave Seeker, every visit to Tyrael’s world reveals new highlights and new moments of magic. This album is a phenomenal achievement with every individual element radiating absolute class.
