(July 10, 2026) -- After the broad tonal palette of "Bathroom Floor," Sonlite Records' Amber Lynn is back with another intimate meditation -- but this time, it's one that needs little more than piano backing to deliver its deeply personal, yet ultimately universal message.

"This song was written by myself, Kenna West, Lauren Talley, and Michael Farren, in loving memory of the precious child my husband and I lost in 2021," reveals the singer, who balances her work as a solo artist with her role as the leading voice in popular Southern Gospel trio, 11th Hour. "Losing a child is a heartbreak that never truly leaves you -- it's a grief we will carry in our hearts for the rest of our lives. Yet even in the deepest sorrow, we hold onto the hope of Heaven. The hope that one day we will finally say hello to our baby… and will never have to say goodbye again."

With only a few atmospheric touches added to Tim Parton's piano, the Roger Talley-produced performance offers a touchingly vulnerable insight into Amber Lynn's sense of loss -- and the comfort of that "hope of Heaven":

All the plans we made, all the prayers we prayed
All the dreams that just won't come to pass
We've tried a thousand times, still can't find a reason why
All that's left is a grainy photograph
I know the first smile you ever saw wasn't mine and it's real hard
And the first voice you ever heard wasn't mine and that sure hurts
And I hate that I missed your first steps
And I never tucked you into bed
I know that they mean well when they say you're some place better
I just know it hurts down here, always gonna hurt down here
Till we're together

I know that Heaven's really not that far, and one day I'll hold you in my arms
And we'll both see the sweet face of our Savior
So I won't say goodbye here, just see you later

"This song," says Amber Lynn, "is for every mother and father who knows this pain -- for every parent who carries both love and loss in the same breath. You are not alone."

About Amber Lynn

Amber Eppinette Saunders hails from Sterlington, LA. As a pastor's kid, Amber grew up surrounded by music and the message of the Gospel from a very young age. As a teenager, she felt God's calling into music and writing -- a calling that would lead to the creation of 11th Hour. It was upon the completion of her first song, entitled Adam's Fall, that the seventeen-year-old recognized the vast difference between knowing about God and having a personal relationship with Him. That realization led to her surrendering her life to Him and fully embracing the mission He placed before her to minister through music.

Since that time, Amber has been a part of composing over 200 songs, many of which have been cut by 11th Hour as well as artists such as The Martins, The Whisnants, The Bowling Sisters, and many more. She has also enjoyed a number of accolades as a vocalist, including several fan award nominations for Soprano of the Year and, recently, a Songwriter of the Year nomination. Amber completed a diploma in Christian counseling, which allows her to serve others in a greater capacity as she ministers at women's conferences and concert events.

God has blessed Amber abundantly in her personal life as well. She married her husband, Garrett, in November of 2019, and the couple welcomed their son, Vinny, in 2022 and daughter, Penny, in 2025. When they're not traveling, the family enjoys attending and serving at their home church, Trinity Baptist in Asheville, NC.
