DAVENPORT, Iowa — Fletcher Ford has spent his career helping broadcasters grow. As the co-founder of Radio Workflow and a veteran broadcast executive, he's worked alongside radio stations across the industry, building businesses, leading media organizations, and helping shape the future of broadcasting.
Now, he's launching something much more personal.
Ford today announced the debut of ALTered, a nationally syndicated one-hour weekly Christian alternative rock radio show created with one simple mission: to give Christian alternative artists a bigger stage and introduce more listeners to the music, stories, and message that have inspired him for years.
"This show isn't about me," Ford said. "It's about the artists. I've always believed some of the most talented musicians in rock are creating Christian music, yet many listeners have never heard them. If ALTered helps people discover their next favorite band while giving these artists the audience they deserve, then we've accomplished exactly what we set out to do."
Produced by Dave Levora, longtime producer of the highly successful Planet radio format, ALTered delivers today's biggest Christian alternative and hard rock artists, exclusive interviews, new music discoveries, authentic conversations, and Brent's Pick, a weekly feature with Pastor Brent Sheridan.
Ford says one of his goals was to create a show that felt authentic to both rock fans and longtime Christian music listeners.
"I never wanted to build a show that sounded like a sermon with songs in between," Ford said. "I wanted to build a great rock show. The faith is genuine because it's who these artists are. Their music speaks for itself, and their stories make it even more powerful."
Known throughout broadcasting as the co-founder of Radio Workflow, Ford has spent his career helping broadcasters grow through leadership, innovation, and strategic vision. But ALTered represents a different side of his work, one driven by a lifelong passion for Christian alternative music.
"Long before I was leading companies, I was simply a fan," Ford said. "This music challenged me, encouraged me, and strengthened my faith. Creating ALTered is my opportunity to give something back to the artists who have poured so much into their music and into the lives of their listeners."
