NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Who Is Like The Lord, the highly anticipated Pure Mosaic Records debut from acclaimed collective Madison Street Worship, is now available. Produced by Lee Bataller and recorded live at Gateway Church in Shelbyville, Tennessee, the project features nine tracks all co-penned by members of Madison Street Worship along with contributions from such lauded writers as Mitch Wong, Delirious?'s Stu Garrard, Josh Farro, Kris Crunk, and Here Be Lions' Dustin Smith, among others.
Opening the live set, the title-cut is an earnest call to worship pointing hearts to the Savior as it carries the album's central message: "Holy is the Lord/High and lifted up/Holy is the Lord Almighty/Angels bow before/All the saints adore You/Holy is the Lord Almighty." Expounding on the broader mission of Who Is Like The Lord, Madison Street Worship leader Harley Rowell shares, "Setting out to write this project we asked the question, 'What does our local church need to sing?' Our heart in writing these songs was to steward our congregation, our house, our people. We are not just writing for today's revelation of God, we are writing to see lasting fruit 10, 20, 30 years down the road."
Additional highlights of Who Is Like The Lord include the reflective "Fingerprints," a ballad of gratitude for God's constant, sustaining presence; "Still Be Worthy (Architect)," its anticipatory verses giving way to a sweeping chorus magnifying the holiness of God; and the personal "Love You More," a cut birthed during Madison Street Worship's SongForge writing retreat. The latter track conveys the all-encompassing captivation of fully surrendering to the Lord's love for the first time.
Rowell hopes the unique expression of praise captured in Madison Street Worship's Who Is Like The Lord will help fan the flames of revival around the world. "You can feel the hunger in the room, you can hear the cries of our people, you can experience that tangible presence of God encountering His people," he shares of the live recording event. "You can audibly and visually experience the work that God is doing in our local church. We are in revival not because we are chasing revival, but because we are chasing Him."
"Our prayer is that this project would be an invitation for people to experience the presence of God and respond to Him in worship," adds Rowell. "That it would unite Jesus with His bride, the Church, and that it would be a sweet sound in His ear."
"What sets Madison Street Worship apart is their pure pursuit of the presence of the Lord," explains Pure Mosaic Records president Wisdom Moon. "They have a deep commitment to serving their local church, and you can hear that in the way they write, lead worship, and invite people to participate. Their unity, their heart for the Church, and their desire to make Jesus the focus aligns deeply with who we are at Pure Mosaic Records. We are honored to help amplify what God is already doing through their ministry."
