NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Breakout multi-genre powerhouse Dax releases his sixth album, Anger Management, available everywhere now. Anger Management puts Dax's emotions on full display, inviting listeners into his innermost thoughts through 12 personal songs, all solely written by Dax. Drawing from his own life experiences, the vulnerable collection captures Dax at his most authentic, putting into words the emotions and everyday struggles many people feel but often find difficult to express.
"The energy that anger creates should not go to waste," shares Dax. "A smooth sea never made a skilled sailor, and the life we wish to live can only be truly appreciated after the storm. I'm excited to finally share Anger Management with the world. I hope it resonates with people and reminds them that even our hardest moments can shape us into who we're meant to become."
Threaded throughout the project is the idea that anger - one of the most common emotions everyone wrestles with - doesn't have to be destructive. Dax reframes anger as a source of purpose and motivation when managed with intention. Guided by his faith and brought to life by his storytelling, Dax explores addiction, temptation, relationships and personal growth. Blending elements of Christian, rap and country, Anger Management highlights his ability to draw from a variety of personal experiences while offering listeners a sense of connection through shared challenges and reflection.
Today's release includes previously released fan favorites such as "God, Can You Hear Me?" and "Man I Used To Be," the latter of which Earmilk noted "comes to life with Dax's powerful voice cushioned by soulful guitars, drawing us in with its hypnotic but grounding style." Dax also introduces six new tracks to his growing catalog across the project, including the impactful anthem of "Trauma," the introspective journey in "The American Dream" and the emotional unraveling of a relationship in "Your Feelings." Elsewhere on the album, "Happy Wife, Happy Life" and "Gave You The World" explore relationship conflict from different angles before "Comfortable Being Alone" closes the collection on a self-empowering note.
Anger Management follows the release of Dax's 2024 album, From A Man's Perspective, which has garnered 513M global streams to date. Standout songs "Lonely Dirt Road" and the powerful collaboration "To Be A Man" with Darius Rucker, continue to make waves with nearly 350M global streams combined.
Dax will take his new music on the road this fall on his headlining Anger Management Tour, visiting 46 cities across North America. Kicking off Sept. 11 in Casper, Wyo. and wrapping at Nashville's Brooklyn Bowl on Dec. 13, the tour will make stops in major cities including Toronto, Chicago, Philadelphia, Dallas and Boston.
